Since 1983, we have been serving the Encinitas/ La Costa/ Carlsbad / Rancho Santa Fe area with the highest level of eye care. Your eye health is of great importance to us! We provide routine eye exams, LASIK, and evaluation for glaucoma and cataracts. Materials include eyeglasses, contacts, and the latest in designer frames.

We also specialize in dry eye treatment including punctal occlusion, amblyopia(lazy eye), foreign body removal and can help you with glasses and contact lenses as well.

At Family Eyecare Center we are more than happy to treat all of our patients – from infants to seasoned adults – and make sure that our patients are cared for like family. Our optometrist, Dr. Riggs, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry,  is certified to treat glaucoma, and is the recipient of the American Optometric Association Optometric Recognition Award, given to doctors who complete continuing education at a level above and beyond the requirements for licensure. We have an A+ Better Business Bureau rating.
